Senior Backend Engineer (Ruby), Plan: Spec-Driven Development

from GitLab · read the original and apply on their site

Remote, Poland; Remote, United Kingdom

Our take: The real work here is building the backend and evaluation systems behind GitLab's intent-to-code loop, owning features from an unclear problem through release in a small all-remote team.

This is early backend work on GitLab's intent-to-code loop, where you turn a stated intent into refined work items, plans, and mergeable code using Rails, Python, and large language model tooling. You will own features from a fuzzy problem all the way to release, build the evaluation systems that prove the workflows actually work, and mentor a small distributed crew along the way. If you love owning a high-visibility bet end to end and enjoy shaping something new with real users, this is a rare chance to build the loop from close to scratch.
