If you love being the person handed the technical problems nobody else can crack, this is depth work without the people-management overhead: you design how Salesforce, NetSuite, Zuora and the rest actually fit together, then stay with engineering through the build to make the trade-off calls. You will treat AI as a working lens inside every design, decide where an agent belongs and where it does not, and win change through the quality of your thinking rather than a title.
